The Pink Ribbon Program

The Pink Ribbon Program supports the physical and emotional recovery from breast cancer surgery and promotes a positive body image to breast cancer survivors on their road to recovery.

Pilates for Breast Cancer Rehabilitation

Our instructors at Pilates Bodies are Breast Cancer Exercise Specialists (BCES) qualified to assess, design and implement individual and group exercise programs for those diagnosed with breast cancer. The BCES is skilled in evaluating health behaviors and risk factors, conducting fitness assessments, creating appropriate exercise programs and empowering individuals to lead a healthy and self-fulfilling life. The BCES will have a complete understanding of the entire cancer process from diagnosis to treatment, recovery, prevention of lymphedema and contraindications.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

In addition, Pilates Bodies has a Registered Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapist. Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle massage technique that moves and manages the fluids in the lymphatic system by stimulating groups of lymph nodes and moving the fluid directly. LDM (lymphatic drainage massage) supports individuals both during cancer treatment and also during the recovery process. LDM helps manage and improve lymphedema by moving the fluid out of the affected area and into other areas of the lymphatic system. This technique can also aid in detoxification of the body after chemotherapy is complete, and help create healthier scar tissue development after radiation treatment. Lymphatic Drainage Massage helps to heal the body from the inside out after breast cancer surgery, reconstruction and/or chemotherapy and radiation.
