Private Session

The most effective way to focus on one’s unique needs, injuries or chronic issues. Individualized instruction maximizes your understanding of the many concepts and movements particular to the Pilates Method and how to apply them to your body.

Semi-Private or Trio Session

An opportunity to explore and learn the principles of Pilates in a shared setting while still allowing for personal supervision and individualized instruction.

Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Session

Tones abdominal and pelvic floor muscles and strengthens the back, legs and arms to support you as your baby grows. Helps to create a body and mind connection in preparation for your journey toward motherhood.

Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Session

Pilates Bodies is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and positive body image to all breast cancer survivors. The Pink Ribbon Program will help stretch and strengthen the shoulder, chest, back, and abdominal muscles, allowing women to regain full range of motion to those areas affected by breast cancer surgery. This program is suitable whether your surgery was recent or several years ago and accommodates all fitness levels.

Class Sessions

Allows each client to work on their individual goals within a group setting with a maximum of 6 clients per class. Private sessions are usually a prerequisite to classes depending on prior Pilates experience.

Mat Classes

The foundation of all Pilates work, a fluid series of floor work exercises designed to increase core strength and flexibility, while improving posture and incorporating breathing and concentration techniques. Magic circles, fit balls, foam rollers, TheraBand’s and hand weights will be utilized as well.

Reformer Classes/Tower Classes

Engages and accesses all muscle groups to uniformly build alignment, increase coordination and balance while integrating precise breathing, concentration and form. The use of spring tension develops core strength and longer, leaner muscles.

Chair Classes

The Chair’s unique and versatile design enables everyone to enjoy a beneficial workout- from beginners to the most advanced students challenging one’s balance and strength. Many of the chair exercises are done sitting or standing up thus engaging and accessing all muscle groups to uniformly build alignment, increase coordination and balance and improve form. Multi-level spring resistance develops core strength and longer, leaner muscles.

Class Level Descriptions

Beginner

The basic Pilates exercises are utilized for a well-rounded work-out to build a successful understanding of the Pilates Method and the way your body moves. An opportunity to learn the correct skills to access your core, develop breath control and enhance spinal alignment.

Beginner/Intermediate

New exercises are introduced to increase the flow and routine of the work-out. Further your understanding of your core musculature to experience the power of Pilates.

Intermediate

Exercises become more challenging, while increasing the skill set of the Pilates movements and adding additional emphasis on centering, precision and flow.

Intermediate/Advanced

For students strong in their understanding of Pilates movements and wanting to integrate more complicated skills into their work-out, such as pelvic stability, contrast stretching and spinal articulation.

Advanced

Experienced at the fastest of tempos, all advanced Pilates exercises are executed with precise control and mind & body connection. Exercises are performed with vigorous dynamics using the mind to guide the body.
