Nicole Tesson, Pilates Instructor



Nicole is a native of St. Louis, Mo and has been a mover all of her life. She received her BA in Dance and Education from Mount Holyoke College and spent her junior year training at the Laban Centre in London.  Upon graduation, she spent a summer at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival as an Education Intern and gained valuable experience working with renowned choreographers and dancers, overseeing students, and enjoying dance, dance, and more dance!  Nicole was exposed to Pilates in college while dealing with an ankle injury.  While recovering, she found Pilates mat classes to be very beneficial and returned to dance and life with a renewed sense of balance and control.

Nicole continued to study Pilates and received her Certification in 2004 through ITT Pilates, based in the bay area and trained with Jean Sullivan, Madeline Black, Debra Schubert, and Joerg Chabowski.  Nicole worked as a dance educator for ‘Leap…Imagination in Learning’ in San Francisco, integrating classroom curriculum with movement education and has taught dance in schools as well with COCA in St. Louis.  She taught at Clayton Pilates and Body Fusion before relocating to Denver. She has over 5 years teaching experience with all ages and levels in studio, rehabilitation, and fitness environments. Nicole is also a certified GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® instructor and trained with Juergen Bamberger and Angela Crowley. In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and one year old son, hiking and playing!
